Our Principal

Ms. Olson is the principal at Traylor this will be her 2nd year at Traylor. She has been involved in education for 11 years in Colorado.  In college, Ms. Olson was a Government major, focusing her efforts on working in public policy.  After spending two years in the United States Peace Corps in St. Vincent & the Grenadines as a Youth Development Worker, Ms. Olson served as an Urban Fellow in the New York City Mayor’s Office.  After those experiences, she came to Denver to be a teacher and pursue public service through her passion of youth development and pursuing excellence in the field of education.

Ms. Olson spent her first 7 years in education in the Denver Public Schools, and is returning to our district after three years as a principal in a nearby school district.  Ms. Olson came to Traylor because of the community’s support for the school and education, and our commitment to providing quality learning opportunities for all students.

In Ms. Olson’s spare time, she enjoys being with her family, reading, hiking, and snowshoeing in the winter.  Ms. Olson is also an avid traveler, and enjoys sharing her stories and learning about others’ travels, as well!
