Special Programs
Choir
Band/Orchestra – Band and orchestra are disciplined programs for 4th & 5th grade students. Instruction in one of ten different instruments is offered.
Student Council
School Store – The School Store offers students a variety of useful school supplies. It is open for business every Tuesday and Thursday before school.
Junior Great Books – Junior Great Books is a program run by parent volunteers. Grade level groups meet weekly during the second semester to read and discuss a variety of classic tales.
Reading Is Fundamental – RIF is a program which enables each student to receive a free book at the three distributions held during the year.
Book Fair – The Book Fair is held each year in the fall. Numerous quality titles are available for purchase.
Citizenship Assembly – Monthly assemblies are scheduled to recognize students for demonstrating exemplary citizenship.
Intramural Activities – A noontime program is offered to students in 4th & 5th grade. Classes compete to receive the traveling trophy in kickball, volleyball, softball, and floor hockey.
Jump Rope Club and Competitive Jump Rope Team
Gymnastics Club
Challenge – The Gifted Education Specialist provides resources to teachers and students. Divergent, convergent, analytical and evaluative thinking skills are emphasized.
