Thursday, January 19 2012 from 2:45-3:45pm in the Traylor Staff Lounge
As many of our community members know, arrival and dismissal time at Traylor are busy! In order to ensure our students’ safety, we are hosting a Crossing Guard training. Denver Public Schools Safety and Security will be conducting training for Volunteer Crossing Guards on Thursday, January 19 from 2:45-3:45pm in the Traylor Staff Lounge. (Please sign in and get a visitors’ pass at the office first.) This hands-on-training will give us the knowledge and tools to improve the safety at our cross walks before and after school.
The training is free and all parents/guardians are welcome to attend.
All interested parents/guardians must complete the DPS volunteer paper work prior ro starting as crossing guards, but all are welcome to the training. We will have the Volunteer Paperwork available at the training and we will also have copies in our office at traylor Academy throughout the year.
Please call us if you have any questions. You can reach us at 720-424-3480.
We hope to have a number of parents interested in this training opportunity so we can build a volunteer schedule for before and after school cross walk duty!
Thank you for your help in making our community as safe as possible for our students and families!
Ms. Olson
