Hello! My name is Dulce Aguilera. This is my first year teaching at Traylor Academy and will be teaching 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade Literatura en Espanol (ELA-S). I was a paraprofessional for four years at Sabin and did my teaching residency at Gust Elementary. I received my Associate’s degree from Community College of Denver, and my Bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver. I will continue my education to obtain my Master’s degree in Equity, Bilingualism, & Biliteracy: CLD education through the Bueno Center for Multicultural Education from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Some facts about me: I was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, and came to the United States when I was 11 years old. I have three little brothers, a cat named Mily, my favorite color is lilac, and I love enchiladas. When I am not teaching or studying, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, listening to music, exploring new places, and doing arts and crafts with my little brother.
¡Hola! Mi nombre es Dulce Aguilera. Este es mi primer año como maestra en Traylor Academy y enseñaré literatura en español (ELA-S) de 1.º, 2.º y 3.º grado. Fui paraprofesional durante cuatro años en Sabin e hice mi residencia docente en Gust Elementary. Recibí mi título de Asociado del Community College of Denver y mi licenciatura de Metropolitan State University of Denver. Continuaré mi educación para obtener mi maestría en Equidad, Bilingüismo y Alfabetización Bilingüe: Educación CLD a través del Bueno Center para la Educación Multicultural de la Universidad de Colorado en Boulder.
Algunos datos sobre mí: nací en Guanajuato, México, y llegué a los Estados Unidos cuando tenía 11 años. Tengo tres hermanos pequeños, una gatita llamado Mily, mi color favorito es el lila y me encantan las enchiladas. Cuando no estoy enseñando ni estudiando, disfruto pasar tiempo con mi familia y amigos, escuchar música, explorar nuevos lugares y hacer manualidades con mi hermano pequeño.
