My name is Marnie Gonzalez. I am a recent graduate of MSU Denver where I received a Master of Arts in Teaching. As a teacher my greatest goal is to instill a love of learning in my students. I believe in the power of curiosity and having a growth mindset!
I hail from the great state of Minnesota originally, but I’ve lived in Colorado for 26 years now. I love this state and all that it has to offer. I enjoy hiking, biking and am always up for an adventure and trying new things. I’m passionate about learning languages and studying other cultures.
My family is the driving force behind everything I do. I have a wonderful husband and two adolescent boys. My oldest son hopes to play baseball in college and we love watching him play. My younger son enjoys playing golf. Watching them discover their interests and pursue their dreams is pure joy. Teaching and parenting are similar in this way. I look forward to a great year of discovery, learning and adventure with your children!
Mi nombre es Marnie González y estoy orgullosa y emocionada de ser la nueva maestra de quinto grado en Traylor Academy. Soy una graduada reciente de MSU Denver, donde obtuve una Maestría en Pedagogía. Como nueva maestra, mi mayor objetivo es inculcar el amor por el aprendizaje en mis alumnos. ¡Creo en el poder de la curiosidad y en tener una mentalidad de crecimiento!
Originalmente soy del gran estado de Minnesota, pero he vivido en Colorado durante 26 años. Amo este estado y todo lo que ofrece. Disfruto del senderismo, ciclismo y siempre estoy lista para una aventura o para intentar cosas nuevas. Me apasiona aprender idiomas y estudiar otras culturas.
Mi familia es la fuerza impulsora detrás de todo lo que hago. Tengo un marido maravilloso y dos hijos adolescentes. Mi hijo mayor espera jugar béisbol en la universidad y nos encanta verlo jugar. A mi hijo menor le gusta jugar al golf. Verlos descubrir sus intereses y perseguir sus sueños es pura alegría. La enseñanza y la crianza de los hijos son similares en este sentido. ¡Espero tener un año de descubrimiento, aprendizaje y aventura con sus hijos!
